What is a general description of the technical characteristics and features of Armadillo Lighting products?
Products are built with high quality, world known recognised electronic components, including LED as a lighting source but also capacitors, semiconductors, resistors, or high temperature resistant wires. Armadillo Lighting as semiconductor background engineering company, use best in class electronic components, to provide long lasting products with thermal management requirement for LED (IESNA LM-80-08) and quality of Light required for application (IESNA LM-79-08)
What are physical properties of Armadillo Lighting products, including reference to the materials used in manufacture? All products must be robust and physically durable.
Products are built with materials that are robust, shatter-proof , but also high luminous efficiency. As a base – Armadillo Lighting use high quality aluminium for best thermal management, Acrylic PMMA materials for optics to provide best in class light output and increase Luminarie Output Ratio. LED as light source, are SMD type (Surface Mount) High Brightness/Power LEDS, selected from BBL ANSI bin codes (Black Body Locus) (not blue, or pink) to provide premium pure white neutral colour with High CQS (Colour Quality Scale) and CRI (Colour Render Index)

What is Technical description of the thermal management properties of the Armadillo Lighting products?
Products are built according to IESNA LM-80-08 standards, and tested for period of 6,000hrs with periodical measurements of 1,000hrs. Test report per products series available on request.
What is Manufacturing/assembly process and how quality is built into the Armadillo Lighting products?
Production, Assembly, and Quality Control Process is with strict norms of ISO9001:2008 – Quality management Standards and ISO14001:2004 – Environmental Management Standards. Further guidelines and review process have also taken place with the Institute of Manufacturing for accelerated management and production control. Armadillo Lighting – Subcontractors including CEM (Contract Electronic Manufacturers) for Electronic assembly are regularly audited by QC Dept., and each of CEM is ISO9001 accredited and certificate holder.
How Armadillo Lighting ensures a quality product is supplied and delivered to the end customer?
Products are Serialized and date-coded. Production control is based on multi level BOM (Billing of Materials) where control can be traced back to single electronic component. Same Serial numbers being provided to customer and in traceability with sales and delivery to customer.
What is policy and procedure in the event of pre-mature product failure? (eg. return and replacement policy etc.)
Products are manufactured to high standards in line with ISO stipulations. Production side QC control monitored by PPM rates for engineering and process control. In the event any fault or failure of the products arrive and according to our procedures, RMA will be issued, and if product fail within warranty, product will be replaced or repaired as seen fit.
What is the ‘light quality’ properties of Armadillo Lighting product range?
Products have selected bin code for LEDS, provided uniformity of CCT across range of products. All products are tested to IESNA LM-79-08 standards.
What ‘colour rendering index’ is required for LED lighting
According to BS EN 12464-1:2011 selected areas have specified standards. Armadillo Lighting products have been designed to achieve >80CRI. Light Emitting Diodes (LED) that are used in Armadillo Lighting Luminaires are specified through design, approval and procurements process. These LED had been carefully selected to provide pure white colour render based on Black Body Locus. Process allow Armadillo Lighting products to avoid issues with “pink” “blue” colours hue. Having ISO Procedures, and well established supply chain on LED, photometric test reports and constant QC procedures, Armadillo Lighting maintain high quality of lighting.
Life guarantee of Armadillo Lighting products in hours (and in years)?
Internal Products are guaranteed for period of 5 years as standard from date of purchase. There is no time or hour limitation during period of 2 years. Please refer to Warranty Statement for product groups.

What is Power consumption associated with Armadillo Lighting core LED lighting product range?.
Products are driven at low current, and low voltage to CE-LVD compliance. Each product series have different technical parameters, but as an example, for external lighting, Armadillo Lighting use Cree Inc LEDs type High Power XP-G in R4 Bin Code. This Particular product can be driven up to 1.5A, where Armadillo Lighting in their technical parameters only drive current at 350mA and forward voltage of 3V. That give power consumption per LED of 1.05W and providing 130lumens/led and over 123lumens/Watt. Considering PMMA material as secondary lens, and outside cover, there are luminous loses of areas 6-7%, providing Lumiaire Efficiency in excess of 115lm/W. This practise is established across ALL RANGE of products, providing extended lifetime of LEDs with High Efficiency. Armadillo Lighting DON’T USE low quality, low performance, or old DIL (DIP) LED for short term performance. Products are design to last with uniform and maintained performance according to IESNA LM-80-08 and L70 Standards.
How the power consumption of Armadillo Lighting lighting products has been tested and can be assured?
Products are designed to calculate all factors, but also complete luminaire is tested with IESNA-LM-79-08 standards, therefore not just accurate power is measured, but also, lumen efficiency, CCT, CRI, Power Factor etc…
What are key capabilities in terms of being able to design lighting schemes that will meet the end customers needs?.
Armadillo Lighting on request can provide in house lighting design based on photometric files per product. If required photometric files can be provided.
What Armadillo Lighting believe to be key considerations when designing internal lighting schemes to meet the needs of requirement?
Armadillo Lighting truly believes that Quality of light, Light Levels, Uniformity, Low glare ratio are equally important, and all design are based around this statement.
What is the level of technical support Armadillo Lighting are able to offer customer throughout the life of any contract, as part of your standard commitment to your customers ?
Armadillo Lighting provide free of charge instructions and manuals for customers, contractors, maintenance teams etc., Armadillo Lighting also provide telephone technical support, and if required technical engineer to attend on site.
What are Armadillo Lighting Project planning, management and contract management capabilities in relation to undertaking large scale LED lighting installation and commissioning projects?
Armadillo Lighting and its sub-contractors have a proven track record in relation to large scale LED lighting installations.
Armadillo Lighting responsibilities will be to provide a number of qualified and skilled personnel to deliver in full the Customers requirements, including Design, products and installations, in a structured approach as per our ISO 9001 registration in order to achieve total customer satisfaction by pre-empting the problems which could impact on the success of the project through comprehensive forward planning and continuous and proactive Risk Assessments. This will consist of a designated management team that will ensure all aspects of Health and Safety and Quality are maintained in accordance with the Armadillo Lighting and Sub-contractors certified accreditations. This will include providing on site teams with the relevant training and skills to carry out both installation and commissioning activities to the highest standard. It will be Armadillo Lighting responsibility to ensure all documentation required is complete and returned to Client in a professional manner and ensure all documentation is complete.
What is typical project plan for a major LED lighting installation?
As the manufacturer, Armadillo Lighting works with approved Third Parties to meet our customer requirements in respect of installations. Armadillo Lighting has strict controls in respect of these Third Parties as part of its Quality Controls.
What is the process of delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of external LED lighting for would be undertaken at a site?
Each Site location, whether indoor or out, will have its own Inspection and Test Plan developed for that specific site / area and that installation. Local considerations will be discussed and agreed with all concerned parties (for example working areas – times, access arrangements, security, specific design requirements etc..) and ALL these considerations included within the Method Statement and Inspection and Test Plan for that area. The type of lamps and their location / application will also determine the tests required – i.e. there may be dimming requirements and specific NICEIC Test result sheets to be included this will depend on the type of installation – new circuit or modified etc…ALL these considerations will be accounted for in the Method and ITP. Note: an example ITP and the Site Process has been included.

Armadillo Lighting constantly reduce impact on environment by using ONLY Rohs electronic components, (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). As alternative, Armadillo Lighting use energy efficient couriers, and logistic companies, by combined shipments. All unused sub products or components have been recycled, along with packaging, that very often is being re-used.
