Armadillo are delighted to work alongside Ecologists and Wandsworth Council to deliver a new dynamic in lighting for the safe passage of school children alongside the Thames on Richmond Tow Path, due to Hammersmith Bridge closure. Employing the latest independent energy generating carbon neutral technology, to deliver the required levels of light for safe transit, whilst having minimal environmental impact to a sensitive biodiverse area.
The pilot scheme utilises Armadillo’s Solar LED street lighting to minimise ground and foliage disturbance with reduced cost, by negating any need for ducting, cables or cable runs.
Specifying a warmer colour temperature of 2700 Kelvin assisted with wildlife aims with additional benefits for further low light dimming for periods when the footpath is less active.
Remote access for the Luminaire allows any lighting adjustment and control required and the option to turn off individual, or all luminaires to maximise social and ecological benefits
